So clever... and so tedious, I don't know if I would have had the patience. There are more too!

Last College Spring Break

Actually, it was more like my first college spring break. Every other year I've spent at home, bitter and sad about the cold weather, jealous of everyone else's exotic vacations. Not this year.

This year I went on a cruise-that's me with the Carnival Cruise mascot guy. It was a 5 day cruise to Key West and the Bahamas and it was incredible.

And there I am standing on the beach at the Bahamas, pina colada in hand. I've never been on any sort of tropical island or anywhere where the water looks like that so it was a really good experience.

Except I don't think people realize just how sketchy the Bahamas are.. we only made it to that beach after a ride on a very small, very scary boat operated by men who seemed to think it could tip over at any second. Then we couldn't find the beach, and a random local decided he was going to be our tour guide. We followed him for a good 20 minutes, thinking the entire time that he was probably leading us somewhere to kill us or take our money. Once we finally found the crystal clear water and white sand and were bombarded with drunk American spring breakers (whoa party) we noticed lots of people drinking out of coconuts. Of course I wanted to drink out of a coconut! Turns out they were being sold by a couple men with coolers, and they were filling them up with unlabeled milk jugs. "Rum!" "Pina colada mix!" My friends drank it, I did not. Turns out the rum was watered down and the pina colada mix was... milk? Maybe? Oh, and they ran out of coconuts.
It was about 2:30 when we got there and the only reason my friends decided to drink the mystery drinks instead of the drinks at a real bar was cause they kept yelling "$20! Drink all day!" Considering the amount of money we'd been spending on the boat, and the amount of money college kids can spend on booze during spring break, that's a hell of a deal. I went and paid $6 for a strawberry daiquiri, where I could see what they were pouring into my drink and it seemed like a legitimate business. By the time I got back to my friends around 3pm, the guys with the coolers were gone-so much for drinking all day.

Seven Swordfish

For one of the graphic design classes I am taking, we had to design a floor number for a museum and integrate the number with the type of animal found on that particular floor. I chose floor number seven: ocean life.

It's a swordfish! Or a marlin. Does anyone really know the difference? Swordfish just sounds cooler.

Mini Me

So apparently the people who work for LEGO are getting these as business cards:

I kind of just want to work for them long enough to get one of these.
